"Education is for improving the lives of others
and for leaving your community and world better than you found it."

- Marian Wright Edelman

But you already knew that. You have a passion for education and community service.  Now, as a K-12 School Foundation staff member, school administrator, foundation or school board member or parent volunteer, you have the opportunity to enroll in a certificate program that will helpyou serve your school or district's education foundation with even greater effectiveness.

National School Foundation Association offers a Certified Professional program.

The NSFA Certified Professional program will give you broad-based knowledge in a variety of foundation management areas.  You'll learn how to cultivate and train your board, gain insights into critical legal issues, develop an effective communications plan, improve fundraising effectiveness, and more.  As you develop the skills to improve your performance, you'll also gain credibility for your foundation by becoming a certified K-12 School Foundation professional.

NSFA's program will provide recognition at many levels for Certified Professionals.  You will earn a certificate for each level of mastery you achieve.  For example, once you've completed the Introductory course requirements you'll receive a certificate and mention as Certified Associate on the NSFA web site.  Complete an additional 18 hours of credit and yo'll have earned Certified Professional standing.  Continue on in the Mastery Program and you'll receive preferred listing on our web site.
