About NSFA

One National Network. Thousands of Communities. More Opportunities for Students.

NSFA's transformation into an SGO is designed to give education foundations a way to participate in the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit without each foundation having to independently build the infrastructure required to administer a national-level scholarship program.

By combining NSFA's national platform with the local knowledge and community relationships of education foundations, the initiative can create a scalable model for connecting donors, foundations, and students.

The NSFA Organization

Formation

The National School Foundation Association, Inc. ("NSFA") was incorporated on May 23, 2005, in the State of Iowa. The NSFA is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service ("IRS") as a 501(c)3 nonprofit corporation operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes.
